Who is speaking?

Your child is still so small, and already hears not only your voice, but also the voices around you. True, everything she hears is muffled. This is not only because she is in her "house", but also because her ears are still covered with a cheese-like lubricant that protects her skin.

The ear of the child develops as her auditory nerves mature, so now is the perfect time to start reading or even singing to the baby (although, actually to your belly). Start learning nursery rhymes and lullabies — soon you’ll be repeating them 20 times. In the meantime, while you train your memory, your partner can hear the child's heartbeat by pressing his ear to your stomach.

If you feel unusual movements in the abdomen that do not look like baby’s kicks, it may be hiccups. Remember what you ate a couple of hours ago? If you couldn‘t pass up the spicy Mexican food then your baby may well be tormented with hiccups. Your baby's taste buds are now even more sensitive than they will be after birth, so the poor little one probably swallowed amniotic fluid with a taste of spicy nachos, and is not particularly happy about it. Well, do not worry: in fact, the baby is not experiencing stress and or any particular inconvenience from her hiccups, she just enjoys life and takes everything as it comes. We could all learn something from these babies, right?

The baby has less space for movement, and she has now settled in to the very position of the embryo that you’ve seen in many pictures and photographs: her knees are pressed to the tummy, the legs are bent. So far, the baby can still roll over, so you have nothing to worry about, if she is still head up.

The baby has grown a little more and gained weight, the circumference of its head and tummy is also rapidly increasing. Remember the beginning of the cartoon "The Lion King"? The newborn Simba, being a large lion cub, was about the same size as your baby now, although he weighed 2 times more.
