These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Hello Belly website, web app and iOS app (together, the “Service”), operated by Hello Belly (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Hello Belly is a pregnancy companion: week-by-week guidance, daily tips, an AI chat coach, guided meditations, trackers, checklists, baby-name tools and related features. Some features are free; others require a paid subscription (see Section 5).
Hello Belly is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. All content — including AI chat responses, tips, meditations and tracker insights — is for general informational and emotional-support purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical care. Always consult your doctor, midwife or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions about your pregnancy or health, and seek immediate medical attention for anything urgent. Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you read in Hello Belly.
The chat coach uses artificial intelligence. AI responses are generated automatically and, despite our safeguards, may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate to your situation. Use your judgment and verify important information with your healthcare provider. We are continuously improving the Service but do not guarantee the accuracy of AI output.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You can start with a private guest account tied to your device, and optionally sign in with Apple or Google to keep your data across devices. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your data at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
The free tier includes the full experience for your current and past pregnancy weeks. A Premium subscription unlocks upcoming weeks and trimesters and any other features marked as Premium.
Free trial. New subscriptions start with a 3-day free trial. You will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends; otherwise your chosen plan starts automatically when the trial expires.
Auto-renewal. Plans (for example 1, 3 or 6 months) renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until you cancel. Prices are shown before you subscribe; we will notify you of price changes in advance.
Cancelling. Web subscriptions are billed by Stripe and can be cancelled anytime from Profile → Account → Manage, which opens your billing portal. Purchases made through the Apple App Store are billed by Apple and are cancelled in your App Store subscription settings; Apple's terms apply to those purchases. Cancelling stops future renewals; your Premium access continues until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable.
Don't misuse the Service: no attempting to access other users' data, probing or disrupting our systems, scraping or bulk-extracting content, reverse-engineering, or using the Service to build a competing dataset. Don't use the chat to generate unlawful or harmful content. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
You keep all rights to the information you enter (messages, tracker data, photos). You grant us the limited licence needed to store and process it in order to run the Service for you. All other content in the Service — articles, illustrations, meditations, design — belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied or redistributed commercially without permission.
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the same extent, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (2, 3, 7, 8, 10) survive termination.
We may update the Service and these Terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
