Little scratchy hands

A new week has started and the baby changed again. How does she not get tired of the endless changes?!

Her ears have shifted and finally stood up correctly on both sides of her head. Her head, by the way, is about half the length of the child — wow! In the near future, her little body will actively grow in order to catch up with the normal proportions of a humanoid from the planet Earth (because so far she looks more like an alien from Alpha Centauri). Nostrils and nasal passages appear in the baby’s nose, her tongue and palate form in the mouth, and hair follicles mature in the skin so that the little one will no longer be as bald as an egg.

Say "bye" to the webbed hands and legs: now your baby has real miniature fingers that can bend and unbend, and grow nails! It's hard to believe, but soon your baby will be able to scratch. Purely theoretically, of course: her nails are so tiny and soft because she is always in liquid. So relax: you don’t have to worry about scratches from the inside, and she will not harm herself. It's time to add baby nail clippers to your shopping list and watch a video on how to properly trim a baby's nails (for many mothers this is a nightmare).

What else is new? Although it is still impossible to determine the sex of a child, if you have a girl, her ovaries will begin to develop this week. And there are a lot of eggs in them, some of which may well be your grandchildren!!! Hi, Grandma!

Your child is also taking calcium from you: not only are the teeth being formed, but the bones as well. The baby’s body gradually straightens and lengthens, and the fetus is already the size of a large strawberry. Still seem small? Perhaps, but this does not prevent her from doing baby yoga (yes, she has plenty of room inside). From time to time the baby will stretch and do somersaults. True, you won’t feel the acrobatics for another month or two, and you won’t notice the hiccups that sometimes torment your baby because her diaphragm is almost formed — but in the third trimester, your tummy will literally bounce from kicks and hiccups. Get ready!
