Third trimester · roughly month 7 · about 11 weeks to go
29 weeks pregnant
Everything Hello Belly has for week 29 — how your baby is developing, what your body is doing, and the small things that are easier to know in advance.

Your baby at 29 weeks
29–30 weeks
"Mommy, I can take care of myself!" — every new achievement of your crumb really screams about it. He already has an immune system and thermoregulation, a layer of fat has increased, that’s why he began to get rid of his "coat" actively — lanugo (he’s not afraid of cold anymore). By the way, now your little one can do what is hardly possible for you: he "breathes" the amniotic fluid not only with his mouth but also with his nose (mucous plugs have disappeared from the nostrils).
The baby has already become quite large for your uterus, so the somersaults have become much calmer, or even stopped altogether. Now, sharp jerks and flips of the child are more likely to indicate that he is not very well. However, the restriction of mobility opened up to him a whole new world of expressing feelings through facial expressions: he blinks, frowns, squints, smiles, yawns. He also sees quite well, reacts to bright light, frowns, turns away. Therefore, avoid too bright places, do not create extra stress for the baby.

Catch a knee!
The baby is already big enough: she can be compared to a toy baby doll. And despite the fact that she is approaching the final stage of growth at birth, she will have to more than double her weight.
